The Four Seasons Hotel, the most prestigious address in Milan’s Golden Fashion District, stands in Via Gesù, today called “LA VIA DELL’UOMO”, the epicentre of masculine elegance. The exclusive Caruso Suite welcomes guests on the third and top floor of what was a 15th century convent: 100 square metres of peace and silence which look on to the old cloisters where the nuns would grow medicinal herbs.
The ambition of Caruso is to guarantee the best and most authentic experience of lifestyle for the “Good Italian” who chooses Via Gesù in search of peace, well-being and privacy. The first stopping place has to be the flagship store (Via Gesù 4), next to the Four Seasons, where a wide range of tailored pieces, but also casual wear and accessories of very high quality can be found. The décor is attractive with typically Italian materials, which are simple but very refined and inspired by the magical atmosphere of the backstage of an opera house... When the time comes for retreating and relaxing, the Caruso Suite in the hotel offers the ideal setting: independent on the four sides, with six windows and four balconies, suite 301 offers its guests an idyllic view of trees and gardens in an exclusive context… and with that special Italian touch.
THE INTERIOR DECORATION:
The interior has been fully decorated by Caruso to pay tribute to the Italian style. The brass plate at the entrance leads into a large living area, from where a long corridor opens with access to the four balconies which look on to the cloisters, where guests can enjoy, in the shadow of the large leafy plane tree, the recipe for the inimitable pasta with pesto that Giancarlo Giannini reveals in the Caruso short movie entitled The Good Italian.
At the end, the welcoming bedroom, in the warm shades of the earth, draws attention towards the vintage “notary’s chair” in ebony and burgundy velvet: an invitation to relax. The bed with personalized linen by the exclusive “Frette Bespoke service” is ideal for reading all night, by the light of the two Tolomeo lamps. Two oval windows open like large eyes on to the majestic trees in the secret gardens of the Fashion District.
The focus of the living area is a comfortable couch upholstered in a fine grey flannel with a masculine flavour, under an artistic photograph in the form of a triptych by Gianni Pezzani, which reproduces the work in wood by Giuseppe Amato inspired by the “Teatro Regio” of Parma. The red velvet armchair and the old books on the Maestro Enrico Caruso complete the decoration, together with pieces of contemporary design.
Two bathrooms in Italian white marble with personalized towels and bathrobes by Frette Bespoke monogramming services and spacious wardrobes in precious boiserie complete the interiors.
In the wardrobe, ready to be worn, the four-piece “Travel Capsule of the Good Italian”, the look Caruso suggests to be elegant in the hotel or to travel comfortably but in style. Crafted in revolutionary “Houdini” stretchable, crease-and stain-resistant gabardine, it is available only to the Caruso Suite’s guests and in the brand’s flagship stores in Milan and New York.
So… if you share this sensitivity with the pleasure of living well… do not hesitate to reserve your stay in the Caruso Suite: there is only one in the whole world and there are only 365 days in a year!
